A fleet of more than 40 boats will set sail off Camden on July 27-29 in the second annual Camden Classics Cup, a benefit for LifeFlight of Maine. The racing will include a special class for Sparkman & Stephens designed Dolphin 24s, and a youth regatta for racers between the ages of 12 and 17 years of age, sailing in 420s.

Federal grant funds will help build more dock space for boaters

Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors, Inc. has unveiled the custom-designed poster for the 15th annual Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors Show, to be held August 11-13, 2017, on the waterfront in Rockland, Maine. The colorful creation, which features hand-painted artwork by local illustrator and furniture maker Clayton Thompson, deliberately echoes the show’s focus on hand-crafted design, style, and workmanship.

Brooklin Boat, Rockport Marine partner on 91-footer

Brooklin Boat Yard and Rockport Marine teamed up on construction of a custom 91-foot, cold-molded yacht. The talented crew in Rockport built the cold-molded hull, which was launched in mid-May. It was towed across Penobscot Bay to Brooklin where the talented crew at BBY will finish work on the flush-deck sloop, which was designed by Bruce Johnson and the Brooklin Boat Yard design office. The boat is scheduled to be delivered in the spring of 2018.

New storage building for Hinckley
