Weather and Sea Talk in Damariscotta

Weather and boating go hand in hand, and winter-bound mariners can get a taste of both at the Lincoln Theater in Damariscotta on Tuesday, February 11, in a presentation hosted by The Carpenter’s Boat Shop. The event, which kicks off at 6 p.m., features Capt. Rick Miller and Capt. Elliot Rappaport. The two seasoned skippers will recount their sailing adventures on the high seas and the weather they encountered. Their passagemaking has ranged from the Arctic to the South Pacific, and both speakers have ties to the schooner Bowdoin and the Maine Maritime Academy. General admission is $20 and a book signing will immediately follow their presentation.
